Vibration Compensation Profiles for Student-Built Gantry 3D Printers

Abstract

This paper tests motion-profile tuning and software compensation methods for reducing ringing artifacts in open-frame gantry printers. A simple calibration routine lowered edge ghosting and improved dimensional consistency in repeated benchmark prints.
